Hustlers deflated Batmen at the London Inn in a match that saw Hustlers take the lead from the off and never lose a leg on their way to a 16 pin victory.
First leg started brightly with Lloyd scoring 41 and even Andy with 33 beating his opponent by 8 pins. As a result Hustlers took a 12 pin lead into second leg.
Scores on second leg were remarkably similar. This time Swayner took the honours with 41, but perversely it was the other two who took pins off their opposition. The result was a slight gain of 2 pins.
Third leg could have been disastrous, with only 97 pins scored. Fortunately for Hustlers, Batmen were equally bad and the leg ended in a tie.
So last leg went in with a 14 pin cushion. Hustlers didn’t sit on it, and indeed fine 40s by both Pete and Gary were a suitable antidote to an unusually wayward Neilson. Hustlers added an additional 2 pins to their total for yet another home win.
