Hustlers had an easy start to the season at home against a Knot’Eres team suffering from holiday absences.First leg found it hard work, but thankfully so did the opposition with Neil and John’s scores not really deserving to pull so many pins against them. However, the leg closed with a Hustlers’ lead of 10 pins.
Second leg was better, notable for a 40 by Swayner who overcame a poor start to end up the evening’s top scorer and top of the averages. The leg pulled a further 11 pins ahead to give third leg a comfortable lead of 21.
Third leg was as bad as the first and the end result was the same as the second, with a lead of 11 pins to take forward.
With Hustlers now being 32 pins ahead, the pressure was off last leg which despatched the opposition with another 9 pin gain, Hustlers winning by a comfortable 41 pins.
